TANZANIA northern parks

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
it Known for the Pink Flamingos that make the park their home during rainy season, Lake Manyara National Park is home to more than 400 species of Birds. In just one day, one might spot a hundred or more different types of Birds. It is one of the smaller parks in Tanzania, with dense and diverse vegetation, a lake with Hippos and is home to the rare tree-climbing Lion.   This park makes for an excellent stop over en route to the Ngoro Ngoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
NGORO NGORO CRATER
The world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera is a World Heritage Site and one of the seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Ngorongoro is 610 meters deep and encompasses some 260 square kilometres of mainly open grassland with small wooded areas scattered around the crater. Having the highest density of Lions in Africa, it is also home to Rhinos, Buffalos, Hippos, Wildebeests, Zebras, and much more.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti signifies endless plains in the Maasai language, and this place does justice to its name. With mind blowing numbers of wildlife, large expanses of open plains and acacia woodlands, and an amazing diversity of birdlife, the Serengeti is one of the seven Natural Wonders of Africa and ten Natural Travel Wonders of the World.  With its some 1.5 million or so Wildebeest and Zebra, countless herds of other Antelope and prides of Lions, the endangered Cheetah, and Leopard, the Serengeti Plains host the world's most famous and largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world.
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
This park is famous for its baobab trees and high density of Elephants. Buffalo, Wildebeest, Zebra can also be easily spotted during dry season. The park is also home to Giraffe, Impala, Baboon, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. Tarangire's landscape is mainly savannah plains, swamps and the Tarangire river that crosses it. Here all the animals come to get hydrated during dry season.
